animation_offset=””]As part of a cooperation between the international technology company Zeiss and the Technical University of Dresden, the EKFZ for Digital Health will be the starting point for an initial project activity on the key topic of “organoid models”. This will be developed in cooperation with the Medical Faculty, the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden and the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden. The EKFZ will also play an important role in other key areas such as artificial intelligence and nanotechnology. For this purpose, a close cooperation is also planned spatially on the Medical Campus in Dresden-Johannstadt.
The rector of TU Dresden, Prof. Ursula M. Staudinger, and Zeiss CEO Dr. Karl Lamprecht signed the corresponding cooperation agreement last week. With this cooperation, Zeiss wants to achieve closer networking at the “Innovation Hotspot Dresden” and enter into an open exchange with students, scientists as well as start-ups and established companies in the region.
