Researchers have investigated the risks of large language or foundation models in the analysis of medical image data. They discovered a potential weakness: If text is integrated into the images, it can negatively influence the judgment of AI models. The results of this study have been published in the journal NEJM AI.

The Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health at TU Dresden has been established in September 2019. Driven by specific medical needs and with direct access to medical infrastructure, the EKFZ’s research projects accelerate the digitalization of medicine – for the benefit of patients.
