New exhibition at COSMO Science Forum: Mensch, Roboter! – featuring research of Professor Ivan Minev
In the interactive exhibition, visitors can discover what robotics research in Dresden looks like – and what it has to do with our everyday lives. Scientists from various research institutions have developed interactive exhibits for this purpose – easily understandable for everyone, without any prior knowledge.
At various stations, robotic models and prototypes can be tested hands-on. Exhibits, games, and a VR station invite visitors to participate and experiment. A central theme of the exhibition is trust: How can robots work safely, reliably, and considerately? The exhibition invites visitors to explore current research projects from Dresden and reflect on their own trust in robots.
One of the interactive exhibits comes from Prof. Ivan Minev and his team at EKFZ for Digital Health and Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research in Dresden. The researchers are developing novel, water-based and electrically conductive materials. Their goal is to improve medical implants – such as electrodes used in deep brain stimulation for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Why this is important and what the emerging research field of cyborganics is all about is part of the interactive exhibit at the COSMO Science Forum.
Mensch, Roboter! – Robotics from Dresden science
October 2, 2025 – February 27, 2026
COSMO Science Forum | Kulturpalast Dresden | Schloßstraße 2, 01067 Dresden
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 13:00 – 18:00
Free entry
Additional event: Forschende ganz nah – mit Ivan Minev (DE/EN)
Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 15:30 – 18:00
In the discussion format “Forschende ganz nah / Researchers up close”, visitors have the opportunity not only to explore the exhibition at COSMO, but also to engage directly with researchers and ask questions. On that day, Professor Ivan Minev will be available to answer questions about his research on electronic tissue technologies.
