1:00 pm
COSMO Science Forum, Kulturpalast Dresden
Schloßstraße 2, 01067 Dresden

What is an endoscopy and how does it work? Why is a colonoscopy important for cancer screening? What happens during a gastroscopy and how do these examinations work? Learn more about endoscopy during our hands-on event on the occasion of Gastrointestinal Day.

You can learn more about colonoscopies and gastroscopies. Dr. Franz Brinkmann will show you how the two endoscopic examinations work. He explains why colonoscopy is currently the most reliable method for the early detection of colon cancer and answers your questions. Under his guidance, you can try out the examinations yourself with a real endoscope on the simulators.

With: Dr. med. Franz Brinkmann, physician/clinician scientist, Medical Clinic I, Department of Gastroenterology, University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden and Else Kröner Fresenius Center (EKFZ) for Digital Health
