Experience MedTech first hand and in real life
The EKFZ I InnoDays 2021 was the perfect opportunity to get a comprehensive insight into latest medical technology innovations. The scientific symposium took place as a hybrid event on September 24./25 on the campus of the Hochschulmedizin Dresden.
The run continues: AI-based software system for pathology in testing phase & professorship for Clinical AI at EKFZ
The run on AI is not coming to an end. Instead, it is accelerating: Together with the Dresden-based start-up asgen, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based software system for use in cancer diagnostics is being tested at the Institute of Pathology of the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden. To accommodate the developments and provide it with a high-profile scientific foundation, the EKFZ is currently inviting applications for a professorship in Clinical AI. Applications from highly regarded scientists are accepted until August 2.

About us
The Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health at TU Dresden has been established in September 2019. Driven by specific medical needs and with direct access to medical infrastructure, the EKFZ’s research projects accelerate the digitalization of medicine – for the benefit of patients.

Dr. Hannah Muti is a Clinician Scientist at the Clinical AI research group of Prof. Jakob N. Kather. She explains why it is an advantage to be actively involved in a hospital as researching doctor, how she manages both tasks and how artificial intelligence is already being used in hospitals.
