To be filled: New Professorship in Medical Software Engineering

A new professorship is to be filled at the Faculty of Medicine Carl Gustav Carus as soon as possible to support the field of medical software engineering at the university and, as a central role in the EKFZ, to link the faculties of medicine and computer science in research, teaching and transfer. The application deadline is July 15.

ZEISS Innovation Hub in Dresden opens its doors at EKFZ

Head of the ZEISS Innovation Hub in Dresden, Dr. Kai Wicker, and his team have moved into the building of the Else Kröner Fresenius Center (EKFZ) for Digital Health on the campus of the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital in Dresden.

Innovation, please! 4th IIP-Call open until 19 July

For the fourth time, the EKFZ for Digital Health is inviting applications for research funds for promising concepts at the interface of medicine and high-tech. New project proposals can be submitted in the funding round until 19.07. As always, the most important requirement: be as innovative as possible!

About us

The Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health at TU Dresden has been established in September 2019. Driven by specific medical needs and with direct access to medical infrastructure, the EKFZ’s research projects accelerate the digitalization of medicine – for the benefit of patients.

Dr. Hannah Muti is a Clinician Scientist at the Clinical AI research group of Prof. Jakob N. Kather. She explains why it is an advantage to be actively involved in a hospital as researching doctor, how she manages both tasks and how artificial intelligence is already being used in hospitals.
