EKFZ as starting point of a research cooperation between Zeiss and TU Dresden
Zeiss and the Technical University of Dresden are entering into a strategic collaboration to bundle the region’s innovative forces and work closely with students, scientists, start-ups and innovative companies. The EKFZ for Digital Health will play an important role in this.

High-Tech-Specialist of the EKFZ-Project “CoBot”, Prof. Stepahnie Speidel (NCT), Prof. Dr. Jochen Schmitt (ZEGV) and Prof. Dr. Marius Distler (VTG) discussed technical developments in the field of surgical assistance systems and how medicine gets influenced by AI.

About us
The Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health at TU Dresden has been established in September 2019. Driven by specific medical needs and with direct access to medical infrastructure, the EKFZ’s research projects accelerate the digitalization of medicine – for the benefit of patients.

Dr. Hannah Muti is a Clinician Scientist at the Clinical AI research group of Prof. Jakob N. Kather. She explains why it is an advantage to be actively involved in a hospital as researching doctor, how she manages both tasks and how artificial intelligence is already being used in hospitals.
