How autonomous AI agents will change cancer research
Dr. Daniel Kaiser, Postdoc (Neuroradiology) at the University Hospital Dresden and Clinician Scientist at EKFZ for Digital Health, received an „Add-On Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Life Science“ from the Joachim Herz Foundation. He was selected as one of the fellows for the year 2021. „I am very pleased and would like to thank everyone involved. Without our aneurysm project and the EKFZ funding, this would not have been possible”, said Kaiser.
Since 2020 Dr. Kaiser is Clinician Scientist in our interdisciplinary innovation research project „Aneurysms“. Together with Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU, the Departement of Neuroradiology researches how metal 3D-printing allows to create patient-specific brain aneurysms stents. The aim of the team is to develop a complete process chain for designing and manufacturing these patient-specific devices to treat intracranial aneurysms.
This fellowship program was launched to foster interdisciplinary skills and support the careers of young scientists from various disciplines. We are very pleased that Dr. Kaiser will receive additional funding for his interdisciplinary research for the next two years and we thank the foundation for their support.
