Sabine Marschollek new board member at Organic Electronics Saxony

The board of the technological cluster Organic Electronics Saxony e.V. (OES) was newly elected. With Sabine Marschollek, administrative director of the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health (TU Dresden), the saxon network brings the competencies of the EKFZ to the new board. This will enable high-tech industry to respond even faster to medical needs and drive developments forward.

Sabine Marschollek - EKFZ-Project Office

Since its foundation, the EKFZ has acted as a multiplier for digital health with diverse contacts in the Dresden high-tech scene. The goal of the academic center is to bundle the expertise of physicians and high-tech specialists in order to create ideal framework conditions for promising medical research. With Sabine Marschollek on the board of the OES, both sides benefit from the expertise and network of the other. The common goal is to further expand Europe’s leading cluster for organic semiconductors and for medical technology.

Together with the other board members, common interests will be bundled and a bridge will be built between the high-tech experts of the OES and the clinician scientists of the EKFZ. Smart materials are revolutionizing medical technology and digital technologies are opening up new opportunities for better patient care. The combination of organic electronics and medical technology is forward-looking, as organic electronic elements are already in use in various medical devices. However, the potential applications are far from exhausted.
