Large Language Models in medicine – researchers show how AI can improve healthcare in the future
The Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health supports Interdisciplinary Innovation Projects (IIPs) in the fields of Robotics & Coworking, Sensors, Implants & Devices and Connected Care. Over the past nearly two years, this has resulted in 22 project grants covering a wide range of content. IIP grants are institutional seed funding designed to quickly establish new collaborations and test new ideas from physicians and high-tech specialists. IIPs pave the way to a proof-of-concept that enables these teams to acquire third-party or industry funding to translate their ideas into clinical practice.
The funding helps build a new generation of technically skilled clinical scientists on the Dresden campus. Therefore, a compelling commitment from a Clinician Scientist and the host clinical institution is central to the concept of the IIP. A full-time laboratory rotation of at least 18 months for the Clinican Scientist is therefore mandatory. Participation of high-tech talent is also very welcome.
Here you can find the call for proposals as well as the templates for the 4th round of calls for Interdisciplinary Innovation Projects (IIP) of the MedTech funding line of the EKFZ. Please use only these templates to submit your applications, we have added some points compared to the last round.
