Experience MedTech first hand and in real life

At the EKFZ I InnoDays, a two-day scientific event with a diverse mix of keynote lectures, short presentations of the interdisciplinary innovation projects by the EKFZ teams and 4-minute network pitches was presented to a broad audience of clinical, high-tech and humanities scientists. The concept was very well received by the participants. The researchers presented their demonstrators and prototypes in interactive demonstration sessions. Those demo sessions as well as plenty of time to chat during breaks fostered the exchange of relevant medical technology stakeholders from academia and industry. As it was the first event in a long time where the participants could meet in person again, they used the time for exchange and networking extensively.

Highlights were the many different keynotes ranging thematically from next generation of medical autonomous microrobots to regulations for medical software to bioelectronics material that can further push the boundaries between living nature and technology.

Samuel Sánchez Ordóñez, well-known expert in the field of nanorobotics in cancer treatment, took his audience to a world, where one day we could navigate nanorobots inside our body to treat cancer. Luminary Jakob Nikolas Kather talked about artificial intelligence in personalized oncology and its potential to revolutionize cancer therapy.

One thing is for sure: EKFZ I InnoDays 2021 succeeded in initiating inspiring conversations and elevating new ideas to the next level. Many thanks to all of our speakers, EKFZ innovations teams and guests for coming and support.

Don’t miss next year’s InnoDays and save the date for the EKFZ InnoDays 2022 on September 23/24, 2022.
