animation_offset=””]As digitization of our life increases, so does the amount of digital innovations designed for the health care sector. However, while novel concepts show promising results in small clinical settings, they seldom make the threshold from project state to full-scale implementation into the health care sector. While some reasons might be inherent to the system itself – especially those relating to data security and funding – other occur within the development process. The Core Room 2 of the EKFZ aims to bridge the gap between the design phase of a digital health innovation and its evaluation and successful implementation into daily routine practice.
The EKFZ arranged an online symposium with international researchers to address the topic of the implementation of evidence-based and patient-centered digital health innovations in the clinical setting. Professor Schmitt (Director of Center for Evidence-based Health Care and Head of Core Room 2) and Professor Hampe (Scientific Speaker of the EKFZ) guided through this symposium. Many guest listeners were interested in this particular topic.
